  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

Maybe Afghani's grow some balls ! Reports are that the Anti Taliban are fighting back with success! Leave them all behind, with a lot of ammo, let them fight for their own country ! We had to, and we still have to !

The problem is that they have been left behind, planes helicopters, tanks and all kinds of othe military hardware and most of it has been captured by the Taliban already.

Well, to be accurate, it wasn't "left behind" by the American military.
It was abandoned by Afghanistan military forces when they abandoned their posts.
The one saving factor is that the ammo might not work in their AK's, and Shooter doubts if there are any Taliban capable of even doing maintenance on a humvee or an Apache or whatever.

America didn't underestimate the Taliban, rather the Taliban knew how to take advantage of a weak incoherent leader that most likely allowed the Taliban to re-take total control.

I have no idea how the Taliban would have reacted had Trump still been President, but...one could surmise the Trump withdrawal likely would have been much different, and more organized, with the U.S. citizens not been chosen over the Afghans..

Very Very interesting read and video's ! I must say I like this Saleh guy , he not only has balls, but brains too! Reading his tweets, it seems he knew what was going on all along and where and who the culprits are! Coward Ashraf Ghani's tweets sounded like a guy who was either clueless or in denial of what was going on ! Maybe Afghanistan now has a competent leader in Saleh. Seems that Pakistan has been backing the Taliban, which should not come as any surprise! Why do we not have sanctions against Pakistan?

So the Afghan civil war is about to kick off again you have the taliban on one hand a groups of Afghan tribes fighting them and each other and asking the west weapons or swap then for drugs. The west will lose whatever we do

The "west" will play both sides and make money.
Remember when Russia was in Afghanistan?
    Those were the "west" weapons.

Gemma's article and links were quite revealing. Seems in Saleh and Massoud, Afghanistan may have some competent leadership. Seems they knew this day would come and have been preparing for it. Evidently they have been socking away weapons and ammo the whole time. The Panjshir valley is not easy to get to, and a very defendable location. I'm thinking maybe Biden is playing it such that he is wanting to get everyone out first. Then with airpower support the country. If he does get everyone out, and then blows up everything Taliban, he'll come out of this looking pretty good. But he has to do both, first get everyone out, then rain on the Taliban parade. If he doesn't follow up the evacuation with a lot of firepower, then he has embarrassed everyone for tucking tail and running! The follow through is important.

We'll see how this plays out.

If the Afghani security forces have a plan, I commend them.

Yet, it shouldn't have been a surprise to anyone that the Taliban was waiting for the U.S. and NATO to leave...it's not like it was never publicly announced.

Afghan security forces took the brunt of the fighting losing 50,000 over the past 20 years, the U.S. and NATO were there to assist and to keep the U.S. from suffering another terrorist attack that could mimic 9/11.

It wasn't to ''free the people'' at all.

We'll just need to hide and watch...however, we also need to make the stark distinction that whatever the Afghan Security Forces do...Crime Boss Biden and the Ho (half cracker 3.0) Administration had nothing ...nothing I say to do with it....

Canadians are watching to see if buaercratic red tape is going to bog down efforts to make good on these promises.

“Offering refuge to the world’s most vulnerable speaks to who we are as Canadians, particularly in times of crisis. As more Afghan refugees continue to seek shelter in Canada, we’re redoubling our efforts to help 20,000 Afghans refugees—who remain vulnerable wherever they go—find safety here. The situation in Afghanistan is heartbreaking, and Canada will not stand idly by.”

    – The Honourable Marco E. L. Mendicino, P.C., M.P., Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship

“Canadians are deeply concerned by the deteriorating situation in Afghanistan. People around the world know they can count on Canada to support them in times of need, and Canada will be there for vulnerable Afghans. Women leaders, human rights defenders, journalists, religious minorities, LGBTI individuals, and others covered by this program will be safe here in Canada, and I look forward to welcoming them to our country.”

    – The Honourable Harjit S. Sajjan, P.C., M.P., Minister of National Defence

“As Minister of Foreign Affairs, I am following the situation in Afghanistan very carefully. I remain in close contact with allies as well as our Ambassador in Kabul, and continue to monitor the security situation carefully. Afghans have put their lives at great risk to support Canada in helping Afghans achieve significant democratic, human rights, education, health and security gains over the past twenty years. We owe them a debt of gratitude and we will continue our efforts to bring them to safety.”

    – The Honourable Marc Garneau, Minister of Foreign Affairs

I hope that the anti Taliban people win, but I think we should not send troops back to Afghanistan to help them. I am not sure that we should give them any assistance at all. We left behind a lot of weapons for them. I doubt that the Taliban could have survived for twenty years against the best equipped military for twenty years without majority support in Afghanistan.

If the Chinese had been giving the Taliban weapons, that would have been obvious. The AK-47 had been invented in 1947. I did not learn about it until the Tet Offensive in the spring of 1968 in Vietnam. It was obvious that the Vietnamese Communist soldiers did not make them themselves. The Taliban has AK-47 rifles, but by now they are made in many countries. In the United States street gangs have them.
