Google Assures Chromecast Owners that it’s Working to Fix Streaming Issues

Following an outage which rendered countless Google Chromecast owners unable to watch anything on their devices, Google has now acknowledged the issue and assured users that it’s finding a way to resolve the problem, which was caused by a software bug.

It should be noted that the company has advised users NOT to reset their devices, as this could cause users to be locked out of their devices. Google has not specified the exact cause of the streaming issue, which displays the “untrusted device error” on older Chromecast models such as the Chromecast 2015 model and Chromecast Audio.

A while back, Google discontinued sales of its Chromecast with Google TV, following the launch of the Google TV Streamer last year, which is a bit more expensive at around a hundred bucks.
